[Trombone-l] New York Phil concert

Two unusual things about that show: Joe had a very minor slip in Bolero and 
when Maazel was giving players their bows, the announcer said Phillip Smith, 
the principal trumpet, was reconized when in fact it was the 2nd trumpet who 
played the solo and got the bow. I don't know if the solo is written for the 
2nd or if my old friend Phil was in a charitable mood and gave it to the 
2nd.

I allternated between watching that show, The Royal Canadian Air Farce and 
the Toronto Raptors so didn't see it all but enjoyed what I did see. Made a 
pleasant New Years eve.
