[Trombone-l] (no subject)

I had a bad expreience with bicycle handlebar tape on the neckpipe of
a lacquered horn. I think the glue and the lacquer didn't get along
well. Eventually some bright green showed up through the tape, and it
was a mess to clean up.

Griego offers lace-on leather guards for neckpipes and slide grips
(http://www.griegomouthpieces.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=GM&Category_Code=ACCESS),
and these are also available from Hickey's
(http://www.hickeys.com/pages/tnguard.htm). I keep meaning to get a
set of these, but I tend to put the money toward sheet music instead.
One of these days, once I convince myself I have enough sheet music to
keep me busy for a while . . .
