[Trombone-l] Pit stories and Rita Moreno

God, she was fun!

We did several television shows with her, and I always enjoyed Rita 
Moreno. She looked great sliding around on the top of the piano in her 
slinky dress and wicked smile, all the time singing great and looking at 
the right camera. Two of the shows were particularly memorable, one with 
Tommy Banks playing the piano and the other with Henry Mancini. In both 
cases there was a big stack of music on the left (camera) side of the 
piano and in both cases she grabbed the stack and threw it all over the 
place, a few sheeta at a time, all the while singing, smiling and 
slithering.

What a great act!
