Hi Gang...Noted some of the comments on lubricants...FYI, I recently began  
using distilled water with my Slide O Mix. While it may be my  imagination,  I 
seem to get faster slide action, and less buildup than  with tap water. 
 
 Give it a try...would be interested to hear if others have a similar  
experience. Guess it makes sense that the distilled water has fewer impurities  and 
chemicals in it...
