[Trombone-l] Birthday

While listening to my favorite Internet radio stations, KCSM.ORG just a few minutes ago, I heard that today was the anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest Jazz Trombonists, and entertainers of all time.  Mr. Frank Rosolino was born on this date Aug 20, 1926, in Detroit Mich.  Being born in Detroit, is about the only thing I have, or had in common with him.  

I have always loved his playing, and his wit, having seen him a few times in my youth at the Lighthouse, and at Shelly's Manne Hole.

He was quite a guy.
