Hey folks. Hope this email finds everyone well. First of all I wanted to let everyone on the list know that I have officially joined Jupiter Band Instruments as a performing artist and am endorsing their professional XO line of trombones...more specifically, the 1028RL .495/.509 dual bore. You might not have associated Jupiter with a pro line of trombones in the past but I WILL tell you that after numerous grueling back-and-forth sessions with my current super-expensive .508 set up that this horn is the real deal. I would put it up against just about any company's pro line any day for someone who wants a well-crafted, great-playing trombone. For more info check out www.jupiterxo.com
Secondly, I have updated Funderbone.com with a new page for The Funderhorns as well as started a MySpace page (www.myspace.com/funderhorns). The Funderhorns are me (trombone...duh), Will Scruggs (saxophones) and Ken Watters (trumpet) and will soon become a Jupiter-endorsed ensemble as Ken Watters (and his brother, Harry Watters) has also signed on with Jupiter. For you Atlanta and southeastern jazz lovers- The Funderhorns Summit will be taking place at Atlanta's premiere jazz club, Churchill Grounds, on September 27 and 28. It'll be two nights of original jazz featuring The Funderhorns and the best rhythm section in the south.... If you're in the area that weekend please stop by and say hello!....and also pay the $10 to get in. :-)
Thanks for your time and stay cool!
