[Trombone-l] Slide-O-Mix On An F Rotor

Jim, I can't think of a worse horror story than after several SOM valve
treatments. I'm certain the silicone content in the small bottle would
begin to build and become scratchy....just like on a slide. Then begins the
cleaning every week or so. No Thanx, I used the stuff on my tenor slides
for about a year with the constant hassel of cleanup. I have switched to
REKA super slide back in Jan of '03 and its just wonderful...no water mist
or anything else. Just slick!!! No buildup around the stockings either.
Good Stuff. I would reccomend Binak 495 or its lighter version for use on
your valve. There, thats my .02 cts.!!! (I now admit, I don't even own a
horn with a valve section but I''ve read enough posts on the list to
understand how tickey they are about lube!!!)
                                                                Hope to have
helped...Emil
