[Trombone-l] Sam Burtis in Savannah, GA Mon., May 5th-ish? Lessons? Clinics?

Hello all...

I will be playing in Savannah Monday afternoon at some sort of  
maritime convention (???) with a great band that includes the  
legendary jazz singer Annie Ross, one of my favorite pianists Mike  
Longo and the fine jazz cornetist Warren Vache. I have no idea what  
the gig entails, but apparently a big time exec in that world was also  
Dizzy's manager and he likes to bring fine bands to conventions. Go  
figure.

Anyway...the gig's at 4:30 and it's at a convention, so I don't know  
who might be interested in hearing it or even if I can get anyone in.  
I arrive Monday afternoon and have to go right to the gig, but my  
evening will be free and I could switch flights the next day if there  
was some kind of interest in lessons, perhaps a group lesson or even a  
clinic. For that matter, I do not have pressing business back in NYC  
for a few days and could do a drive-by clinic or two somewhere within  
say 3 or 4 hours' driving distance of Savannah.

I know this is short notice...I just got called for the gig  
yesterday...but I figured I'd post it and see what turns up.

Whatever happens...it's all good.
