[Trombone-l] Outer Slide Refinishing Costs

'Been playing a lot lately, so the slides need periodic tweaking. That's
fine, but now they look a little dull from the application of heat and
subsequent spot lacquering.

An otherwise fine local 'paint and body' shop wants $285 per slide to
refinish them---3 slides total. Strikes me as extremely high for that work.

My question for all of you:

How else would you label the touch up work I want and what kind of pricing
is typical? If you have a comment on total refinishing prices, please
advise.
