[Trombone-l] Humphrey Littleton

Humphrey Littleton, one of Britain's great jazz trumpet players and  
band leaders has died.  Even though he was not a trombone player, I  
thought the list might be interested in knowing about the musician who  
Louis Armstrong called the best jazz trumpet player in England.  Well,  
there were a lot of good jazz trumpet players in England, for example,  
Dickie Hawdon, but even so Humphrey was right up there.   He will be  
missed.
