[Trombone-l] Pagliacci

Hello
The trombone section in Italian Opera in Verdi's time consisted of three 
trombones and "trombone basso", all of them valve trombones.
The instruments came from military/rural bands, mainly from local industries 
(like Orsi) that were not very sophisticated.
The valve bass trombone was pitched in F, with three or 4 valves and its not 
a contrabass (that is a German tradition),
