[Trombone-l] earplugs

The "problem" is due to the nature of ear plugs. You are hearing more
of your sound through the vibrations of your head than through your
ears. I haven't used the custom ear plugs, but have used lots of
others, and currently use the ER20s. I haven't found much appreciable
difference from plug to plug in how I sound to myself, except for the
fact that the plugs that block less sound overall let me hear more of
myself through my ears. (duh)
I found that I got used to wearing them once I made the determination
that I would wear them no matter what in certain situations. I don't
wear them in every situation.
