The wind kicked up pretty good, and the rain was kinda funny coming
down side-ways and all. Our particular neighborhood only lost
electricity for maybe 15 minutes tops, but then -- we live not a
block from a local hospital. An electric company spokesman was on TV
around 4:45 a.m. to let folks know that power would be restored as
soon as possible. He went on to explain that hospitals and media
would be the first to be repaired. Hospitals for the obvious
reason. Media (radio and TV stations) so the word could be gotten out.

We have a good government preparedness program in place here. RITA
taught us a lot of valuable lessons.

This one was a ride in the park!

Thanks, everyone.
