Speaking of Loyola, Xavier and Tulane... are the numbers back to
normal, or did a lot of those "kids" transfer away from New Orleans?
I can't speak for all those schools, but I have heard the jazz band
from Loyola, and that is one SERIOUS big band. Great teaching going
on there, for sure.
Our Department Chair attended a seminar or some sort where the
faculty jazz combo from Loyola played, and he came back with RAVE
reviews. He told me he heard a fine trombonist. I'm betting that
would have been you.
Two or three years ago. Ring a bell?
What is the college scene like here 2 (3?) years after that hurricane
direct hit?
