Speaking of Loyola, Xavier and Tulane... are the numbers back to  
normal, or did a lot of those "kids" transfer away from New Orleans?

I can't speak for all those schools, but I have heard the jazz band  
from Loyola, and that is one SERIOUS big band.  Great teaching going  
on there, for sure.

Our Department Chair attended a seminar or some sort where the  
faculty jazz combo from Loyola played, and he came back with RAVE  
reviews.  He told me he heard a fine trombonist.  I'm betting that  
would have been you.

Two or three years ago.  Ring a bell?

What is the college scene like here 2 (3?) years after that hurricane  
direct hit?
