The neat thing about them is that they are based around the chords of real tunes with a few subtle musical quotes thrown in now and then for fun. They are melodic, lay well, fun to play and can, for the most part, be played on two tenors. Matt Finder also has a jazz duet book out, too. His includes a rhythm section CD that can be played through a boom box. These are more jazz oriented, can be played on two tenors, but will require some rehearsal. I've recently seen both at Ferguson Music (Hornguys.com). Good luck, and let us all know what you decide on and how it goes.

Jack Gale has a book of "12 Jazz Duets". Similar deal, comes with a CD
of the rhythm section playing (also has both trombone parts with rhythm
on separate tracks). They are great but might be little too hard for
the average player to sight-read, as they a quite difficult.
We used to get a lot of mileage out of a book called "Bugs Bower Bop
Duets" which are challenging but not impossible for good players to
read. No rhythm parts. Anybody know if they are still available?
