Bill,

Randy Alcroft has three great jazz duet books out now. The neat thing about them is that they are based around the chords of real tunes with a few subtle musical quotes thrown in now and then for fun. They are melodic, lay well, fun to play and can, for the most part, be played on two tenors. Matt Finder also has a jazz duet book out, too. His includes a rhythm section CD that can be played through a boom box. These are more jazz oriented, can be played on two tenors, but will require some rehearsal. I've recently seen both at Ferguson Music (Hornguys.com). Good luck, and let us all know what you decide on and how it goes.
