Some suggestions for you:
Head Charts from a Fake Book
alternate between lead & someone laying down the bass line.
Bach Two Part Inventions. Just to mix up the pace.
(There was a trumpet player I used to work with, who could
tranpose the parts at tempo, as written, no 8vb!-- so I could
play the LH par with out transposing.
Amsden Duets
Rubank Duets, Intermediate & Advanced. Always a good mix of styles.
Hickey's has some Bordogni duets for bones.. called
and check this out, just found it at Hickey's Music
Bordogni
Melodious Etudes for Performance (Raph)
Item: 42206 listed at $12.95
Of course, you may order or purchase it where ever you wish.
Just my way of saying, I do not represent anyone but me---but why
not buy it from a trombonist? (Chuck di Paolo...hope I spelled
that right)
If you can do tenor and bass, there are some new duet books
listed by Davis that are funky and groovy ---
also on the Hickey's site.
Any duet books by Tommy Pedersen if you can get your hands on
them....for tenor or bass bone duet.
If I have duplicated anyone's entry, sorry. I have been away and
also have just started back teaching school....and other things.
Let us know what you choose and how it goes!
