Hi Jerry...This does sound like Tendonitis...I have had it over the years,  
and it may (hopefull)y leave as quickly as it arrived.  Try the arm strap  
found at he drug store, and try the other suggestions offered by listers.   
Include some Advil, if you can take it...for a few days.
 
Also, try icing it for a while after playing...15 minutes at a time...Its  
not your age, just a temporary condition.
