Understandable.
It takes a lot of arm power to hammer a 12 penny nail with a _2_ ounce hammer.

I got a wicked case of tennis elbow from swinging a 2 ounce framing hammer. I found that a copper bracelet worked wonders. I made mine from 12 gage house wiring and plumbing solder. I got compliments for my "artwork".
I believe that the copper bracelet poisons your skin, just a bit. and that your body goes out to try to fix that. In the process, all that good fixing stuff travels past your elbow.
Gee, I'm totally not into "newage" (rhymes with sewage) music, but I seem to be very into "newage" medicine. Mostly, I think that there are many things that western medicine just doesn't understand, that are well understood by older, LESS experimental modalities, like ayurveda and Chinese medicine.
