Greetings Jerry,
I play a King 8B. I'm 71 and your traditional 98 lb weakling. I have had
tennis elbow, pickleball elbow and trombone elbow (thanks to the 8B). The
medics who treated me for the elbow problems diagnosed tendonitis. Once I
had recovered from the tedonitis they gave me the following advice to avoid
further trombone elbow events:
1. use two hands to take and replace the horn on the trombone stand
2. keep the elbow close to body
3. use a wrist strap
This advice has keep me free of repeat trombone elbow events.
If your condition is tendonitis the advice might be something for you to
consider.
Cheers,
Len Stephan
