PAUL WELCOMER



Paul Welcomer studied trombone with John Marcellus and received his Bachelor
of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music. Subsequently, he attained
his Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory of Music while
studying with John Swallow.Before joining the San Francisco Symphony as
Second Trombone in 1993, Mr. Welcomer served as Principal Trombone with the
Alabama Symphony Orchestra and the United States Air Force Band for four
years each. Mr. Welcomer teaches trombone at the San Francisco Conservatory,
and is the conductor of the Brass Ensemble there.



 

Bring your trombones, so you can join the trombone choir as the final event
of the day, directed by Billy Robinson.
