Peter -
I'll second the recommendation on the Cronkhite double
tenor bag.  I use it for alto & tenor frequently
(either with a 2B & large bore tenor, depending on the
performance).  I do place a bath towel over the slide
compartment to help keep everything from moving around
too much.  But I have had no problems with this setup.
 The other plus is that you can pack two tenors if you
need to.
