[Trombone-l] Another Selman query

During the discussion on the Selman Alto my attention was drawn to their big bore tenor. I'm intrigued at the idea of such a big tenor and thought it might do well as a bass in Beethoven et al.

Methinks it's the Slide Hampton effect, I understand he plays a 0.562 tenor.

Anyone tried one to see what they're like?
