Dan,

I don't think this is the same Eastman trombone if yours is "old".  
Eastman Strings/ Eastman Winds has only been making trombones for about 
the last year or two since they bought the Beijing factory.  I would 
assume that yours may be an old stencil horn from years ago and not a 
one year old Eastman Winds trombone.  The confusion is very 
understandable.  Myself and several of my colleagues have played the new 
Eastman trombones and we all think they play very well.
