I have an old Eastman trombone, which is due to become a hanging planter.
The plating is coming off of the slide and the inside of the bell section is
also pealing. Why they plated the inside of the bell section is beyond me,
but it makes a horrid sound when the flakes of plating get into the slide.

It is a beautiful shape, though and will make a beautiful planter, hanging
by its slide crook.
