I think that's pretty good advice Bob.  I'm not sure it would fly though.
I used that on each of the 4 motorcycles in my garage and I think she's
getting suspicious.

As for your P.S. question....the particular Getzen I bought is a really
sweet horn and I got it for a "steal".  Some poor dad bought it brand new
for his son for a graduation present only to be told, "But Dad, I'm not
going to play the trombone in college".  The son played it for about 2
minutes and they put it in the closet for a couple of years. After
realizing his son wasn't going to change his mind, he decided to just
unload it.   Since I'm not a "real" bass bone player like you Bob ( yet!
:-), I figure if I can get fair value on the Bach, I'll be out
significantly less than if I kept it and sold the Getzen.

Don,

Take a hint from the car guys and tell her you have to have it as a parts
horn.  Now that you've played it all the parts are used and EVERYBODY knows

the world runs on used parts :-)
