I'm not quite ready to try using one of those free UNIX-based operating systems.  But if I can still read them, I've saved copies of DOS 5.1 and Windows   3.11.  From my perspective, they did enough of the hard stuff and still left you in control of your computer.  I have a step-brother who collects antique computers.  He should be able to set me up with a copy of Wordstar.  Imagine how fast they'd all run on a dual-core Pentium?  How would you keep any key from giving you multiple letters?  OK, maybe I'll just learn how to deal with Vista and leave the complaining to those who are actually willing to try something else.
