Thank you all for getting back to me.  

Perhaps my biggest problem with Vista is that a lot of my old CAD software won't run on it.  I'm an insultant, I mean consultant, so whenever some piece of CAD software doesn't work, I need to fork out money, sometimes big money.  And since I bought my computer with Vista already loaded on it, I'll probably have a hard time getting drivers for it, so that I can switch to XP (which does run most of my CAD software).

But hey, it's my brand of masochism, I suppose.  ...time to grin and bare it.
