[Trombone-l] Too much bass trombone...

I recall a Mozart Requiem performance where the conductor came back
just before starting the dress rehearsal to tell us, "the trombones
really control the volume of the whole orchestra in this piece," and
pleasantly asked us to keep a low profile. We did, and the resulting
recording is one I'm proud of - not just because of the overall
balance, but also because it's slightly easier to play a commanding
Tuba Mirum during a slightly quieter performance.
