[Trombone-l] When to use what instrumentation

At the time, I was heavily influenced by John Marcellus' (probably
exaggerated) story of quitting the National Symphony because he felt
the conductor was asking for too much volume from the trombones.  Now
that I've been out of college for a long time, I'd probably feel
privileged to play a gig that required that much volume.  :)
