I think much of this discussion could be applied to the hiring processes 
in general - not just to orchestra auditions.  Having great credentials, 
playing incredibly, is all well and good.  However, it sounds to me like 
the Boston Ballet orchestra has found a way to measure the "works and 
plays well with others" aspect of the job.  In my opinion, and assuming 
we are starting with a pool of qualified candidates, this should be 90% 
of any job.
