Ah, thanx, Peter.  So as I read it:

"The fight started after one of the men tapped the other on the shoulder
with a program to complain about noise, police said."

Seems to me that the guy shouldn't have got so belligerent.  He only needed
to explain to the complainer that if he had been following the score, he
would have noticed that the orchestra parts are marked fortissimo at that
point in the medley.
