[Trombone-l] Carmina Burana Trombone 3 part

I am playing the third trombone part on Carmina Burana in a couple of
weeks.  I am sure it is usually played on bass trombone, since that's what
the guys/gals that play third in orchestras usually play.  Just playing
through the part it really seems like a third tenor part.  I can't figure
any reason to play it on bass (other than the expectations of the
section/conductor/etc).  I'm sure I'll end up playing it on bass, because
that's what I was hired to play, but I just thought I'd throw this out for
thoughts from the list.
