Paul -
This might be the resource you're referring to:
http://www.moviebrass.com/intro/Bonus_stuff/Equipment/equipment.html
Depending on where you are in the country, there might be a repair
person who could replace the receiver on your YEP321. I know there are
a couple of repair guys on this list. Maybe they can point you in the
right direction. As far as I know, changing a receiver is pretty minor
surgery. Good luck.

Subject: [Trombone-l] Equipment Question and Euphonium
I am going to start here with this. A few years ago, I remember seeing
a survey of equipment of a number of professional trombonists. It also
listed all their doubles. I have searched, but can't seem to find it on
the net.
To continue.....I remember that the most popular euph double is the
Yamaha YEP-321. I also remember that the survey said a number of guys
(maybe west coast players) had the 321 modified for a large shank
mouthpiece and I remember some discussion about how it improved the
horn.
Well I am getting a 321 off of eBay to play some community band
opportunities and would like to know what the modification is to make
the instrument large shank. Is it just the receiver, or the whole lead
pipe, or??? And what instrument are the parts from?
Any help to at least point me in the right direction would be
appreciated. I have access to a couple of good repair guys, I just need
to know what parts to have them get.
Thanks in advance!!!
