[Trombone-l] Other Hercules Trombone Stand

I have this stand and don't like it much. While it is very stable, it is a
pain to carry and use. It does fit mostly in the side bag of both gig bags
I carry, but it sticks out the end. However, it does support my 50B better
than my Hamilton in-the-bell stand. It is over-kill on my King 2B. On the
band stand of a big band, unless I'm sitting on the end, it takes up too
much room between chairs or standard big band music platforms/stands. I
also find it more difficult to put down and retrieve my horn quickly than a
standard in-the-bell stand, unless I can position it a certain way.

That one looks nice, but has anyone ever tried this one?

I've always wondered if it was effective and worth the purchase. I have
the K&M and it's a real monster to carry around. I'm not in the gig scene,
so I'm not worried about anyone knocking it over, but even if I was, would
this one hold up to the challenge?

Thanks Jeff. Where did you buy it? I am interested in some of the
Hercules mic stands as well. (That is how I came to see the trombone
stand on their web site.)
