[Trombone-l] Horn Stands

The most solid stand you'll ever find is made by Newell Sheridan
(nsherida at bellsouth.net)

Newell builds these things from cymbal stands and they are SOLID.
Enough so that my bulky 3-year-old boy has a hard time wrestling the
trombone to the ground.
He did win that battle once, though............ONCE:-)

Thanks Bill. Good general advice. Just wanting to know if someone has
built a better mousetrap, and the answer might be maybe.

Can't be used as a threatening personal protector though if it is in
your bell, in your case. Maybe if you just take your horn without the
case, that would probably keep them away...

I have the K&M, but I think it says UMI on it. Still have the blue bag
it came it, but it looks pretty bad these days.
