Well,
You're all assuming TENOR Trombone's highest recorded
note.
On that Trombone Choir recording from the Downey
Group, the Sopranino Trombone is really screaming.
I'll agree Steinmeyer's range in Jazz is just
astronomical. I'd say for "legit" playing (and this
case, I mean legit as non-Jazz), listen to Norman
Bolter on his solo albums.
