[Trombone-l] Getting back to the horn after long layoffs...

Hi Greg... and others who just got back to the horn...since you are new to 
the list, and probably missed my earlier posts, I'll probably bore the others on 
the list with this...
 
I did not play for 35 yrs, picking it up again 15 yrs ago doing big band 
work...mostly that for the past few yrs, until moving to Central FL last 
year...Now playing in 7-8 different groups and in several genres from concert bands to 
dixie, big bands and church and brass groups.
 
Take it slow and deliberate, with solid practice routines, and you will get 
chops back sooner than you think.
 
My only disappointment is not being able to find a teacher who will provide 
lessons so I can further refine my playing.  
 
I am so busy playing, I am having to decline jobs...BTW, I am 72.
