In Richard Sudhalter's Lost Chords, he writes that Toscanini always   
hired Miff Mole when he was doing Bolero because Mole was the only   
trombone player he could trust to nail the high B-flat every time   
without fail.

Mole was one of the great and innovative swing players  whose role in  
trombone history has slipped (pun intended) off the  screen.
