Every once in a while, I'll put on an old CD featuring even older music and
every once in a while, I'll hear something that just blows me away. It's as
if I'd listened but didn't hear. Today was a once in a while with George
Brunis and His Jazz Band playing "Tin Roof Blues". It was just straight
ahead Chicago style jazz with Wild Bill Davison on cornet and Pee Wee
Russell on clarinet. They played with the enthusiasm of a club date on a
studio recording.

The date was November 29, 1943.
