[Trombone-l] Nasal stuff.

Flonase = bad!
My father-out-law swears by the stuff.
My mom was blessed with overly-small drainage ducts in the sinus. (I
too have this "gift". grrr!) She had a laser surgery whereby they
"shaved" the openings larger. Done as outpatient in under an hour.
Aside from the 14' of gauze she pulled out after a couple days. she
hasn't had a sinus infection since.
Alluding to my previous mention of the "oog" factor, I haven't had the
cajones to have the CT scan done to see if I'm a candidate. It's
covered by ins. & all. I think I'll try squirtin' warm sea water up my
nose first. Besides my boys'll think it's "Cool!" #X-p
Cheers!

What a coincidence. I've had on and off sinus issues for years. First
really
bad issue was started by a ragweeed allergy, messed up sinuses AND
lungs. If
I don't deal with it soon enough, I wind up with sinus infecttions, ear
infections, etc. Been using "flonase" when dealing with allergies, works
great. Have tried saline nasal sprays, as well as a handful of tap water
"snorted", both seem to help. Was to the doctor today for a followup
visit
after a bout of pneumonia, sinuses came up, and he handed me a NeilMed
sinus
rinse kit. Just tried it, think it's going to be a good thing, at least
when
the problems arise. If it allows me to stay away from the "flonase" (a
steroid) it will be a good thing!
