Bart,

It is great that you are wanting to provide this experience for your  
students. I do recall that Robert King has some arrangements of Bach  
Chorales for 4 trombones. This is a good place to start.

I did an arrangement for 4 trombones of Three Dances by Susato that  
might suit your needs. These Renaissance dances are basically  
harmophonic and not rhythmically complex. The first trombone part  
goes to an occasional G but does not stay up there. It is available
