[Trombone-l] Besson

A friend of mine just bought an English Besson, model 10.10 bass bone, because he liked the sound.  It was on consignment at a music store from an elderly gentleman, so it may be an old horn.

He asked me what I had heard about it.  I have no experience with this horn, or any Bessons for that matter, so I turn to the experts.  How is this horn  viewed by those who have played them?
