Either I am too particular about my slides, or there is something in
my saliva/condensation/slide technique that breaks down lube.  I read
all of these cats talking about lube X lasts for days (or weeks on
some cases), and I am lucky if get more than a gig's worth from any
lube application.  If it is just on the stand at home and I am not
practicing too much, I might skip a day between applications, but I
usually have to apply before every rehearsal or performance or
practice session, no matter what lube I use.  Ok, not true, Trombotine
gave me two or three playing sessions per application, but all of the
liquid lubes need daily applications for me.
