Sorry for the inconvenience but we are being swamped.

We receive on average 150,000 messages daily of which 95% are either
rejected out of hand or quarantined as SPAM. Since midnight last night
the server housing mailman has received over 20,000 messages - of which
only 200 or so are valid posts to our mail lists.

Due to the change all messages into our campus will be scanned. That
means that some posts could be quarantined by the spam filter. If you
have a post that does not appear contact me directly at
jmdanner at samford.edu - BUT PLEASE give it a couple of hours before you
ask. Email is not a cell phone or instant messenger. There are at times
delays that are inherent to the protocol.
