SW OH, especially here in the Dayton OH, has kept me plenty busy,
especially in brass quartets, quintets and big bands. I have had probably 6
days, since Thanksgiving, where I have had two gigs in one day, especially
on the week-ends. Today, I had a brass quintet rehearsal, short brass
quintet concert and an full orchestra Christmas pageant, this evening.
Friday, I have three brass quintet gigs starting at around noon and two at a
local juvenile detention center, playing for juvenile detainees, later in
the afternoon.
Surprising, I do not have a Christmas Eve gig! Maybe one will come through.
I have not worked the past two New Years Eves; however, this year I do have
a gig and it is local, which is always a plus, on NYE!
Let's not discuss January, as I recently had one of my few gigs,
cancelled---a MLK concert with our local symphony, for lack of sponsorship.
