I have played a Bach 16M since around 1976 myself. I recently
experienced some slide problems with the one I was playing (which was
a school owned instrument), so I decided it was time to replace the
one I had sold some 5 years ago. In my quest, I came across a fine
Bach 12 with the best slide I have ever held in my hands. I grabbed
it at $ 650.
I love how well centered my tone has become, and how my upper
register now zings.
Keep an open mind. Try a 12, if you can. I think you'd like it, too.
