The 1956 Bach mouthpieces is No. 6 1/2-AL (formerly inscribed "Clarke Model
Large", 25.4 mm 1", Medium deep. Medium wide, well rounder. Comfortable
rim. The model is exactly the same as the 6 1/2-A. Especially designed for
symphony and concert trombones who strive for a Teutonic quality of tone,
obtained through a larger throat and larger backbore. Recommended for
euphoniun, particularly for a player who desires a beautiful, round, mellow
tone of great carrying power and substantial volume. It requires more
physical strength to fill, also a well developed, powerful embouchure.
The 7-C, 24.75 mm 63/64. Medium shallow. Medium wide rim, not too sharp.
Very comfortable "lay." This mouthpiece was especially desigmed for players
who prefer a medium large cup diameter to assure a large volume of tone.
The shallower cup produces great brilliancy, which is very affective for
concert and military band. An excellect all-around mouthpiece for the
legitimate professional.
Good?
