They do in this part of the state.  Even the middle school bands, by  
the time a kid reaches 8th grade -- he's playing a .547 of some brand  
or other.

I'm using the 5G or 6-1/2 AL on a Bach 12.  That's about the same  
size as a 2B, no?

Works for me...  but not everyone has been playing since 1960  
(implying my muscle memory must be purty good... ha).
