I'll second this. I learned to play on a 6 1/2 AL, and while today I
favor a much smaller Schilke 42B on a King 2B (and a 47B on the 3B), I
have never in 25 years been able to get ANY reasonable tone from a 12C.
Larger, yes; smaller, yes. 12C, never. I have absolutely no idea why,
either.
